Sunil Tambe, inspector of the anti-narcotics cell said, “Gudu was in touch with Mumbai-based book writer Nandu and real estate businessman Meerchandan. Nandu, who lives in Thane, is also wanted by the Mumbai police in connection with the IPL fixing case .Nandu and Meerchandani invested 4 to 5 lakhs in the gambling business.
He added, “We have arrested four people who bet with Gudu. Gudu’s house was locked from the outside. We opened the lock with two keys and entered the house only to be arrested.”
Meanwhile, five people were arrested in Nashik and Buldhana districts late on May 21 after the police received information that one Pravin Bhutada was running from a mansion on Nashik Road during the Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad match.
